  • Stop in the first sand dunes.

  • Camel ride in the dunes.

  • Departure for Samar and its lunar landscape.

  • On the way to Guermassa via Tataouine

  • Lunch in a restaurant in the village of Guermassa.

  • Visit of ksar Hadada.

  • Return to your place of residence in Djerba.

Departure from Djerba for the salt lake, Sebkhet el Melah or called Lake Zarzis. we will admire the changing colors and mirages of this lake. Photo break.


Sebkha El Melah of Zarzis has an area of approximately 150 km².
Its perfectly flat surface is slightly below sea level.

Now target the moon, or rather Samar and its lunar region for an incredible photo break.
Samar is 60 km from Tataouine a magical lunar scenery, as far as the eye can see breathtaking landscapes.

We return to the land via Tataouine for lunch at Guermassa.

After lunch, visit the citadel of ksar Guermassa, then visit the Ksar Hadada which served as a backdrop for the films of the saga Star Wars.

We finally take the road via Medenine for our return to Djerba.
 

Tataouine is the capital of "the Berber region of southern Tunisia", the starting point to discover ksours (plural of Ksar) and the neighboring Berber villages as part of your excursion "On the trail of the Berbers".
These villages are perched on top of the rocky hills. The Berbers fled the plains at the time of the invasions, and transformed the caves of these hills in troglodyte dwellings.

Ksar Hadada 5 km north of Ghomrassen, consists of 380 ghorfa on one floor. He served as a backdrop for the movie "Star Wars" in 1999.

It will take a 4x4 to reach the old Guermessa, Berber village hanging on the hillside, unfortunately less preserved village than others. But the panorama is magnificent.
